OUR MISSION
Divini-tea is a socially responsible company, which means it integrates social, environmental, and economic concerns into its activities and its interactions with everyone who contributes to the tea market (suppliers, distributors, clients, partners). In practical terms, we explore teas around the world, identify those that are recognized for their virtues in their place of origin, and import them to Quebec to share our rich discoveries and their benefits for overall health.
Our choices are guided by organizational values that reflect Love, Kindness, Listening, Openness, Support, and Authenticity. It’s from a place of commitment to making a powerful contribution to a better world that we are happy to support a product which contributes just as much to health and the pleasure of sharing with friends in the West, as it does to the eradication of opium production and humanely responsible working conditions in the East.
WHO WE ARE
Dave Martin
(Divini-tea co-owner)
As a Bachelor of Mathematics, a father of three, and a martial arts practitioner, the fusion of the trinity—the balance of body, heart, and mind—is very important to me. As far back as I can remember, I have always had a rational and scientific mind. In fact, I still work as a data scientist on various contracts today.
A few years ago, I had a sort of spiritual awakening (a kundalini awakening, for those who are familiar). Following that, I began practicing hypnosis individually and in groups to offer people tools to overcome their various challenges.
Since that experience, I have also shifted my life philosophy from intervention to prevention. During these changes, I had the chance to meet Patrice and Jean-François, the founders of the company, who became my friends. After enjoying the taste of jiaogulan tea, I decided to test regular consumption to see the benefits for myself. The scientist in me was amazed by the results and by all the scientific studies that support this wonderful plant. I am incredibly grateful and privileged to continue this beautiful adventure!

I am a curious woman who loves learning about many different things. I’ve practiced several sports and disciplines—alpine and cross-country skiing in winter; wakeboarding in summer; weight training at the gym; Wing Chun Kung Fu; tennis; hiking and mountaineering; and swimming. I love moving my body and feeling balanced, staying aware of both my activities and my diet. In short, I embrace holistic health as a way of living every moment.
At 35, after spending years doing what was expected of me—working as a secretary in schools and school boards, and changing jobs countless times since my early twenties—I decided to choose the rest of my life. To choose myself. I became an entrepreneur (in fact, I believe I always was one; I just didn’t know how to express it).
This time, I listened to those little voices that said “yes” or “no.” I specialized in massotherapy, which I practiced for 12 years. I then created my consulting service, l’Assistante, to help entrepreneurs with their organizational structure (from 2016 to 2018). And today, I am the proud owner of the wonderful company Divini-Tea (since 2018).
Throughout this new life journey, I have met a multitude of extraordinary people—and that continues today. If I had to describe life in one word, it would be relationships. For me, connection is the essence of life on Earth. Along this path, Patrice and Jean-François, the founders, crossed mine as friends. When I learned the company was for sale, that was all the convincing I needed: I wanted to ensure the continuity of jiaogulan so that as many people as possible could have access to this wonderful preventive beverage.
As for me, I’ve always said I would live past 120 years in good health—so here is a product that aligns perfectly with my values. And, between you and me, its slightly sweet taste won me over too!

Since a very young age, I’ve been seeking truth — a truth that goes far beyond appearances. My journey has allowed me to gain diverse knowledge in well-being and alternative health techniques, and this is what I hope to share positively with those around me.
I’ve been practicing meditation and integrating Buddhist philosophy for many years — it’s through this that I continue to develop my sensitivity and bring out the best in myself. My passions include neuroscience, quantum physics, spirituality, travel, and various approaches to healing and personal growth.
Jean-François Parent
(Divini-tea co-owner)
Having worked in the health field for over fifteen years, my personal journey, curiosity, and open-mindedness have led me to explore and learn about alternative well-being techniques. Constantly evolving, I strive to continually improve and refine my skills. It will be a great pleasure for me to offer you my support with a holistic approach to health.
OUR HISTORY
While Patrice and Jean-François were training in San Francisco (USA), they happened to taste an infusion that immediately had a vibrational and therapeutic effect on them. It was jiaogulan. Intuitively, Patrice took a sufficient quantity to conduct a conclusive 5-month experiment on himself and some athletes he works with.
The feedback and testimonials that followed were unanimous in expressing a feeling of trust, safety, and a resonant connection from the very first days of use. Among the benefits observed, he noted a sense of satiety, improved energy, easier recovery, and a calmer presence. Wanting to take his research further, Patrice discussed it with those around him, and a friend suggested that he explore the possibility of sourcing jiaogulan from a place where the product is certified organic and fair trade, rather than from China, where it is harder to find and verify.
Patrice then reached out to the owner of a company in Thailand, and immediately, the two men were in sync, sharing a unique vibration and common values that allowed for a magnificent and bright partnership. This vibration, in which an intention of physical and psychological balance had been invested, could be tasted from the first sip.
As life is in constant motion, in the fall of 2018, the company needed to find new owners. Being a couple in life, it didn’t take much for Dave and Véronique to know they wanted to undertake this common project and continue the jiaogulan adventure. “This infusion should be part of every Quebecer’s regular diet,” Véronique thought. “Taking this tea as prevention is the key,” added Dave. After a meeting with the owner of the company in Thailand, Dave and Véronique were convinced that they were in the right place and involved in a much larger project for humanity with this plant. The adventure continues and grows stronger every day.
